The PARKER 270NTA-6-2 is a brass compression tube female elbow fitting designed to create a 90-degree directional change in tubing runs while transitioning from a compression tube connection to a female NPT threaded port. Built from brass with a 1/8 inch NPTF thread, it handles working pressures up to 150 psi and operates across a temperature range of -40 degrees F to 200 degrees F. This fitting meets D.O.T. FMVSS571.106, SAE J1131, and SAE J246 standards, making it suitable for use in fluid and pneumatic lines where compliance with those specifications is required. The 270NTA-6-2 is suited for use in compressed air, pneumatic control, and fluid transfer lines in both residential and light commercial applications. Its compression-by-FNPT end connections allow it to join tubing on one side and thread directly into a female NPT port on the other, making it a practical choice when routing tubing into valves, manifolds, or equipment ports that require a directional change. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the tubing, then tighten with a wrench to seat the ferrule; avoid over-tightening, which can deform the ferrule or crack the fitting body. Thread sealant or tape appropriate for NPT connections should be applied to the male threads being engaged, per applicable plumbing and pneumatic codes.
