The PARKER 269HB-10-4 is a brass barbed hose fitting in a 90-degree elbow configuration, designed to connect a 5/8 inch ID flexible hose to a 1/4 inch male NPT threaded port. The male NPT end threads directly into a tapped fitting, manifold, or equipment port, while the beaded hose barb end accepts 5/8 inch ID hose and resists pullout under pressure. Rated for use between -40 degrees F and 160 degrees F, this fitting is suited for liquid and low-pressure fluid transfer applications in HVAC, plumbing, and light industrial systems. Installation requires no special tooling beyond a wrench for the threaded end.
This elbow fitting is commonly used where a hose line must change direction at a threaded port, such as condensate drain lines, coolant circuits, water supply connections, and similar fluid-handling assemblies. The 90-degree geometry reduces hose bend radius requirements in tight equipment enclosures. The beaded barb profile is designed for use with a hose clamp to maintain a secure, leak-resistant connection at the hose end. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and mechanical contractors typically specify this type of fitting in both residential and light commercial applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems using 1/4 inch NPT threaded ports and 5/8 inch ID flexible hose in fluid transfer applications.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers or HVAC technicians. Shut off fluid supply and relieve system pressure before installing or replacing any hose fitting. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male NPT threads in accordance with IPC and IFGC guidelines before threading into the port. Secure the hose to the barb end with an appropriately sized hose clamp; do not rely on the barb alone to retain the hose under pressure.
