The PARKER 265AB-8 is a brass compression tube union designed to join two compression-end tube lines in a single inline fitting. It provides a secure, leak-resistant connection in hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid-transfer plumbing systems. Rated to 400 psi maximum working pressure and suitable for temperatures ranging from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, this union handles demanding service conditions without degradation. The brass body resists corrosion and meets D.O.T. FMVSS571.106 and SAE J246 standards. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fleet maintenance professionals install this fitting in both stationary and mobile equipment applications.
This fitting is sized for 1/2 inch outside diameter tubing with compression connections on both ends. It is commonly used in brake line assemblies, refrigeration tubing runs, fuel systems, and general fluid-handling installations where a reliable inline union is needed. The compression style connection eliminates the need for soldering or threading, making it suitable for field repairs and tight-access installations. Both residential and commercial applications benefit from this fitting where DOT-rated performance is required.
Designed as a standard OEM-style compression tube union for 1/2 inch OD tubing in DOT-compliant fluid and brake line systems meeting FMVSS571.106 and SAE J246 requirements.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified fleet maintenance technician familiar with compression fitting procedures. Depressurize and drain the line fully before disassembling any existing fittings. Ensure tube ends are cleanly cut and deburred before seating into the compression nut to prevent leaks. Inspect the ferrule and nut for damage before assembly and do not overtighten, as brass compression fittings can deform if excessive force is applied.
