The PARKER 265AB-4 is a brass compression tube union designed for straight-line tube-to-tube connections using compression fittings on both ends. It joins two compression tube lines without requiring flared ends or additional sealants, making it a reliable choice for hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and brake line applications. Rated to 400 psi maximum working pressure, the 265AB-4 carries a 0.189-inch inside diameter and handles temperatures from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F. It meets D.O.T. FMVSS571.106 and SAE J246 standards, which are required in many vehicle and mobile equipment brake and fuel line installations.
This fitting is used in automotive, truck, and mobile equipment applications where D.O.T.-compliant tube connections are required. It is well suited for brake line repair, fuel system plumbing, and fluid transfer lines in both OEM production and field service environments. The compression-by-compression configuration allows a technician to splice or extend an existing tube run without special tooling beyond a tube cutter and wrenches.
Designed as a DOT-compliant OEM-style compression tube union for automotive, truck, and mobile equipment brake and fuel line systems requiring SAE J246 and FMVSS571.106 conformance.
Installation is performed by licensed mechanics or qualified plumbing and hydraulic technicians. Depressurize and drain the line completely before disassembling any fitting. Cut the tube square and deburr the end before seating it into the compression fitting to ensure a leak-free connection. Tighten to hand-snug then advance with a wrench per standard compression fitting practice — do not overtighten, as brass compression ferrules can crack or distort.
