The PARKER 251IFHD-6-4 is a brass inverted male run tee fitting designed for use in flared tube assemblies requiring a branch connection at the run. It accepts a 3/8-inch tube OD on the flare ends and a 1/4-18 NPTF male thread on the branch port, using a Flare x MNPTF end configuration. Rated for up to 1000 psi working pressure and a maximum working temperature of 250 degrees F (121 degrees C), this fitting meets SAE J51 standards and carries UL Listing. It is installed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and refrigeration mechanics working on fuel, hydraulic, or refrigerant line assemblies.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial applications where an inverted flare tube run must be teed off to a male NPT port. Typical installations include fuel oil supply lines, hydraulic tubing runs, and similar fluid-handling systems that use inverted flare connections. The male run tee geometry keeps the main tube run continuous while the branch exits at a 90-degree angle, reducing the number of individual fittings needed at a junction point.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for inverted flare tube assemblies using 3/8-inch OD tubing and 1/4-18 NPTF threaded ports in fuel, hydraulic, or similar fluid-handling systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified mechanic. Depressurize and drain the system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Use a calibrated torque wrench and follow applicable industry standards; do not over-torque brass fittings, as the material is susceptible to thread damage. Verify that the mating tube is properly flared to the correct inverted flare angle before assembly to ensure a leak-free seal.
