The PARKER 251IFHD-3-2 is a brass inverted male run tee fitting designed for flared tube connections in fluid and gas line assemblies. It accepts a 3/16-inch tube OD on the flared ends and terminates with a 1/8-27 NPTF male thread, providing a leak-resistant mechanical seal without the need for thread sealants on properly gauged ports. This fitting is used to branch a run line while maintaining inline flow direction, making it a practical choice for plumbing, refrigeration, automotive brake line work, and light industrial tubing systems. Licensed plumbers, refrigeration technicians, and fluid power specialists are the primary installers of this fitting type.
This inverted flare tee is suited for applications where a tubing run must be split or branched at a male pipe thread port. Common scenarios include hydraulic brake circuits, fuel line assemblies, HVAC refrigerant piping in older system configurations, and compressed air or fluid distribution manifolds. The Flare x MNPTF end configuration allows direct connection to female NPT ports without adapters, simplifying the assembly. It is appropriate for both residential service and light commercial applications where 3/16-inch tubing is the standard line size.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for tubing assemblies using 3/16-inch OD flared tube connections and 1/8-27 NPTF male pipe thread ports.
Installation should be performed by a qualified plumber, refrigeration technician, or fluid power specialist familiar with inverted flare fittings and NPTF thread standards. Depressurize and drain the system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Use proper flaring tools to ensure the tube end is correctly formed to the inverted flare seat angle before tightening. Do not overtighten flare nuts, as brass fittings are subject to deformation under excessive torque.
