The PARKER 249IFHD-6-6 is a 90-degree inverted male elbow fitting machined from brass. It connects a 3/8-inch OD flared tube to a 3/8-18 male NPTF thread, making a leak-resistant 90-degree direction change in a fluid or refrigerant line. Rated to 1000 psi working pressure and a maximum working temperature of 250 degrees F, this fitting suits high-pressure hydraulic, refrigeration, and pneumatic plumbing circuits. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and hydraulic system installers use this type of fitting when routing tubing around obstructions or transitioning from tubing to a threaded port.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial applications where SAE J51 flare connections terminate at an NPTF-ported component. Typical install scenarios include refrigeration line sets, hydraulic control circuits, and compressed-air distribution systems. The NPTF thread form creates a dry-seal mechanical connection, reducing reliance on thread sealant in many applications. It is sold individually and is appropriate for any application requiring a compact 90-degree flare-to-MNPTF transition at pressures up to 1000 psi.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems using 3/8-inch OD flared tubing terminating at a 3/8-18 NPTF male threaded port. Conforms to SAE J51 flare standards.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or hydraulic technician following applicable codes. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any fitting. Inspect the flare seat and tubing for damage before assembly, as a deformed seat will prevent a leak-free connection. Consult the applicable system service manual and local codes for thread sealant requirements on NPTF connections.
