The PARKER 2214P-8-8 is a 45-degree street elbow pipe fitting designed for industrial fluid and pneumatic plumbing systems. It features a male NPT tapered (MNPTF) inlet and a female NPT tapered (FNPTF) outlet, both in 1/2-inch thread size, allowing a direction change in tight spaces without requiring an additional coupling. Rated to 1,000 psi maximum working pressure and suitable for temperatures from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, this fitting is built for demanding service in hydraulic, pneumatic, and general industrial piping applications. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers.
This fitting is suited for residential and commercial plumbing, industrial fluid lines, and pneumatic distribution systems where a 45-degree directional change is needed at a threaded connection point. The street elbow configuration — male on one end, female on the other — allows it to thread directly into a valve, pump, or manifold port without a nipple extension, reducing overall assembly length and potential leak points. Compliance with SAE J530 and SAE J531 standards makes it appropriate for hydraulic tube and hose fitting applications as well.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for industrial pipe assemblies using 1/2-inch NPT tapered threaded connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter in accordance with applicable mechanical and plumbing codes. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape appropriate for the media and pressure rating — do not over-tighten, as NPT threads seal on the taper and excessive torque can crack fittings or distort ports. Verify the fitting is rated for the specific fluid media in your application before placing the system back in service.
