The PARKER 220P-2 is a slotted pipe plug designed to seal open pipe ports in hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid-handling systems. Manufactured from brass, it accepts a flat-blade screwdriver for installation and removal. The MNPTF (male dry-seal tapered pipe) thread form creates a pressure-tight seal without the need for additional sealant on properly machined fittings. Rated to 1000 psi maximum working pressure, this plug handles a wide service temperature range from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F. It is a standard maintenance and assembly component used across industrial and commercial fluid systems wherever a threaded port must be capped or blanked off.
This plug is suited for use in industrial machinery, hydraulic manifolds, pneumatic assemblies, and plumbing applications that require a reliable threaded port closure. The 1/8 inch MNPTF thread size is among the most common port sizes found on pumps, valves, cylinders, and fittings. Installation is straightforward and does not require specialized tooling beyond a flat-blade screwdriver or hex tool appropriate to the drive slot. It is typically installed by maintenance technicians, pipefitters, and hydraulic system assemblers during both new builds and field service.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or maintenance stock plug for any hydraulic, pneumatic, or fluid-system port with a 1/8 inch MNPTF threaded port.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any pipe plug. MNPTF dry-seal threads are designed to seal on the thread form itself; inspect port threads for damage before installation. Do not overtighten brass fittings, as the material is susceptible to thread damage from excessive torque.
