The PARKER 219P-8 is a hollow hex plug designed for industrial pipe systems requiring a reliable threaded termination point. Constructed from brass, this plug features a 1/2 inch male MNPTF (Male National Pipe Thread Fuel) connection and is rated to 1000 psi maximum working pressure. The hollow hex drive allows installation and removal with standard hex tooling without requiring an external wrench flat. It is suited for use across hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and fluid distribution lines where a compact, pressure-rated pipe plug is required. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and hydraulic system technicians are the primary installers.
This plug is appropriate for both light industrial and commercial piping applications. Its brass construction resists corrosion in fuel, water, and many fluid service environments. The MNPTF thread form provides a pressure-tight seal when properly applied with thread sealant, making it a common choice for capping off ports, tees, and manifold openings in compressed air, hydraulic, and fuel distribution systems. Operating temperature range extends from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, covering most standard service conditions.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for industrial pipe systems with 1/2 inch MNPTF threaded ports, including hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and general fluid distribution applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified hydraulic technician. Always depressurize and isolate the system before removing or installing any pipe plug. Apply a compatible thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for the service fluid prior to installation. Do not overtighten brass fittings, as this can crack the fitting body or damage mating threads.
