The PARKER 216P-8 is a brass hex plug designed to seal and terminate 1/2 inch male MNPTF pipe threads in industrial and commercial fluid systems. Rated to 1,000 psi maximum working pressure, this fitting handles demanding hydraulic and pneumatic applications where thread integrity and leak-free sealing are critical. The hex head profile allows installation with standard wrenches, and the brass construction provides corrosion resistance across a wide operating temperature range. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and fluid power technicians install this type of plug during system assembly, maintenance, and pressure testing.
The 216P-8 is suited for use in hydraulic lines, compressed air systems, fuel and lubrication circuits, and general industrial piping where a durable, threaded pipe plug is required. The MNPTF thread form provides a tapered male connection that seals on the thread itself, making it appropriate for high-pressure sealing in both residential mechanical rooms and commercial or industrial environments. Its compact overall length of 1.81 inches makes it practical in tight manifold and panel layouts.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation hex plug for industrial pipe systems using 1/2 inch MNPTF threaded connections and requiring a maximum working pressure of 1,000 psi.
Installation is performed by licensed pipefitters, plumbers, or fluid power technicians. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any pipe plug. Apply thread sealant compatible with the system fluid and the MNPTF thread form prior to installation. Tighten to snug plus a firm wrench turn — avoid overtightening brass fittings, as the material can crack under excessive torque.
