The PARKER 216P-2 is a hex plug pipe fitting designed to seal off open pipe ends and ports in fluid and pneumatic systems. It uses a 1/8 inch male MNPTF thread connection and is rated for a maximum working pressure of 1000 psi. The fitting handles a wide temperature range, from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, making it suitable for demanding industrial plumbing and compressed-air applications. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians install this type of plug during system testing, maintenance, or when capping unused ports on manifolds and valves.
This hex plug is intended for use in industrial piping systems where a threaded port needs to be closed off cleanly and reliably. Common applications include hydraulic lines, compressed air systems, fuel systems, and refrigeration piping where an unused 1/8 inch MNPTF port must be sealed. The hex head profile accepts standard wrenches for fast, secure installation without the need for specialty tools. It conforms to SAE J530 and SAE J531 standards, making it appropriate for both OEM assembly and field service work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for industrial piping systems using 1/8 inch female MNPTF or NPT ports.
Installation is performed by licensed pipefitters, plumbers, or qualified HVAC technicians. Before installing or removing any threaded plug, depressurize and isolate the line or system completely. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape as required by the application and local codes such as the IPC or IFGC. Do not over-torque; use a wrench on the hex head only and avoid pipe-wrench contact on the thread body.
