The PARKER 215PNL-8-35 is a brass long nipple pipe fitting with a 1/2 inch male MNPTF thread. It provides a rigid, straight-line connection between two female-threaded ports in pressurized fluid or gas piping systems. Rated to 1,000 psi maximum working pressure and a temperature range of -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, this fitting handles demanding conditions found in industrial and mechanical service applications. At 3.5 inches overall length, it offers the extended reach needed to bridge components that a close or hex nipple cannot span. Plumbers, pipefitters, and fluid-system technicians install this type of fitting as part of scheduled assembly or repair work.
This long nipple is suited for use in compressed air, hydraulic, pneumatic, and general fluid-transfer piping systems where a threaded male-to-female connection is required. The brass construction makes it appropriate for water, oil, and many non-corrosive gas services. It meets SAE J530 and SAE J531 standards, supporting use in industrial and automotive fluid-system applications. Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified pipefitters following applicable local codes and system design requirements. Depressurize and isolate the piping circuit completely before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Apply a suitable thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads and tighten to snug contact using appropriate pipe wrenches — do not overtighten brass fittings. Inspect the connection for leaks before returning the system to service.
