The PARKER 215PNL-4-20 is a long nipple pipe fitting with a 1/4 inch male MNPTF (Male National Pipe Taper Fuel) thread connection. It measures 2 inches in overall length and is rated for a maximum working pressure of 1,000 psi. The fitting handles temperatures from -65 degrees F up to 250 degrees F, making it suitable for a wide range of fluid and pneumatic line applications. Plumbers, pipefitters, and industrial maintenance technicians use this type of nipple to extend or connect threaded pipe runs in compressed air, hydraulic, fuel, and general-purpose fluid systems. It meets SAE J530 and SAE J531 standards.
This long nipple is well suited for residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC piping, and light industrial fluid distribution systems where a short close nipple is not sufficient to bridge a connection gap. The MNPTF thread form provides a pressure-tight seal when used with compatible female NPT fittings and appropriate thread sealant. Typical installations include instrument connections, manifold extensions, and branch line assemblies in compressed air or fuel distribution systems.
Designed as an OEM-style threaded fitting for use with standard 1/4 inch female NPT threaded pipe connections in compressed air, hydraulic, fuel, and general-purpose fluid piping systems.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, or qualified industrial maintenance technicians. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before removing or installing any threaded fittings. Apply a compatible thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads per the system fluid and pressure requirements. Tighten to hand-snug and then wrench-tighten per standard pipefitting practice, taking care not to cross-thread the connection.
