The PARKER 215PN-8 is a brass close nipple designed for industrial pipe assemblies requiring a short, fully threaded male-to-male connection. The fitting uses MNPTF (Male National Pipe Taper Fuel) threads on both ends at a 1/2 inch thread size, with an overall length of 1.13 inches. It carries a maximum working pressure of 1,000 psi and handles operating temperatures from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in pressurized fluid and gas distribution systems where a minimal gap between two female-threaded ports is required.
This close nipple is suited for residential and light commercial piping applications involving fuel gas lines, compressed air, hydraulic systems, and general fluid distribution. Its all-brass construction resists corrosion in wet and fuel-contact environments. The short body makes it the correct choice when back-to-back port connections need a rigid, leak-resistant bridge without the added length of a standard or long nipple.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for industrial and commercial piping systems using 1/2 inch MNPTF female-threaded ports.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter. Shut off and depressurize the line completely before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape appropriate for the service fluid before threading the nipple into place. Follow applicable codes including the International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC) or International Plumbing Code (IPC) for the specific service type.
