The PARKER 212P-6 is a threaded pipe union designed for industrial fluid and pneumatic systems requiring a reliable, removable connection between two pipe runs. Rated to 1000 psi maximum working pressure and capable of handling temperatures from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, this union uses FNPTF (female National Pipe Thread Fuel) connections on both ends. The 3/8 inch thread size suits mid-range line sizes common in hydraulic, fuel, and compressed-air plumbing. It meets SAE J530 and SAE J531 standards, making it appropriate for demanding mechanical and mobile equipment applications. Installation and service work is performed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC-R technicians.
This union is suited for residential and commercial systems where a sectionalized, serviceable connection is required in a threaded piping layout. Typical applications include hydraulic supply and return lines, fuel delivery circuits, compressed-air distribution, and other fluid-handling assemblies where the line must be broken for maintenance or component replacement. The FNPTF thread form provides a pressure-tight seal on the threads themselves, making it appropriate for fuel and pressure service as defined under SAE J531.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for threaded piping systems using 3/8 inch FNPTF connections in hydraulic, fuel, and compressed-air applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified mechanic familiar with the applicable pressure and fuel system codes. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before disassembling or installing any union. FNPTF fittings are designed to seal on the threads; use thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for the fluid service, and do not overtighten, as thread damage will compromise the pressure seal. Verify the assembled system for leaks at rated pressure before returning to service.
