The PARKER 208P-12-8 is a brass pipe coupling designed for industrial fluid and pneumatic systems requiring a reliable threaded connection. Rated to 1000 psi maximum working pressure and suited for temperatures ranging from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, this coupling connects 3/4 inch to 1/2 inch female threads using FNPTF (female National Pipe Taper Fuel) thread form. The brass construction provides corrosion resistance and durability in a wide range of media. It is installed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians in commercial and industrial piping assemblies.
This coupling is used in industrial piping systems where a reducing female-to-female threaded connection is required. The FNPTF thread classification makes it appropriate for fuel, hydraulic, and pneumatic line connections where a pressure-tight seal is critical. Typical applications include equipment hookups, manifold assemblies, and in-line reductions within compressed air, hydraulic, or fuel distribution systems. It conforms to SAE J530 and SAE J531 standards, supporting use in demanding trade environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for industrial piping systems requiring a 3/4 inch by 1/2 inch FNPTF reducing coupling rated to 1000 psi.
Installation should be performed by a qualified plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable codes such as the IPC or IFGC. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before removing or installing any threaded fittings. Apply appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads of the mating fitting before assembly. Do not overtighten, as brass threads can be damaged by excessive torque.
