The PARKER 2-8 FBZ-SS is a compression tube connector designed to join 1/8 inch outside diameter tubing to a 1/2 inch male NPT threaded port. Constructed from stainless steel, this fitting provides a secure, leak-resistant connection in high-pressure fluid and gas systems. With a maximum working pressure of 10,900 psi and an overall length of 1.67 inches, it is built for demanding instrumentation, hydraulic, and process control applications. This connector is suited for residential and commercial applications involving instrumentation tubing, process piping, and fluid control systems. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation compression connector for systems using 1/8 inch OD tubing with 1/2 inch male NPT threaded connections in instrumentation, hydraulic, and process piping applications.
Installation is performed by licensed pipefitters, plumbers, or instrumentation technicians in accordance with applicable piping codes such as ASME B31.3 for process piping. Depressurize and isolate the system before removing or installing any compression fittings. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the tubing before applying the manufacturer-recommended number of turns with a wrench to seat the ferrule. Do not overtighten, as this can deform the ferrule and compromise the seal.
