The PARKER 2-2 HBZ-B is a brass compression tube union designed to join two compression-end tube lines in a single inline fitting. The union body is machined from brass and rated for a maximum working pressure of 3600 psi, making it suitable for high-pressure instrumentation, hydraulic, and pneumatic tubing runs. Both ends accept standard compression-style connections, providing a leak-resistant mechanical seal without solder or thread compound. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and instrumentation mechanics install this fitting in applications where a removable, re-makeable tube joint is required.
This fitting is used in residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC refrigerant line work, and industrial instrumentation tubing where two compression tube ends must be joined inline. The all-brass construction resists corrosion in water service and many fluid systems. At 0.05 pounds, the fitting is compact and well-suited for tight-space installations in equipment panels, valve racks, or utility runs where a clean union connection is needed without bulky hardware.
Designed as an OEM-style compression tube union for use in standard compression tubing systems where both ends require a compression-style mechanical connection.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified instrumentation mechanic in accordance with applicable codes including the IPC and IFGC where relevant. Depressurize and isolate the tubing system completely before disassembly or installation. Use a backup wrench to avoid twisting the tubing during tightening, and do not overtighten compression ferrules, as over-compression can deform the ferrule and compromise the seal. Verify system pressure rating compatibility before placing the fitting into service.
