The PARKER 19R30S is a string-wound cartridge filter designed for liquid filtration in plumbing and industrial process systems. Built from FDA-grade cotton wound around a stainless steel core, this filter delivers 10-micron particulate removal across a 30-inch filter length with a 2.5-inch outside diameter. The string-wound construction creates a graded-density structure that traps particles throughout the depth of the media rather than only at the surface, extending service life between changeouts. It handles operating temperatures up to 250 degrees F, making it suitable for hot-water and light-process applications. Licensed plumbers and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers.
This filter is used in residential and light commercial plumbing systems, industrial process lines, and water treatment applications where sediment, rust, scale, and fibrous particulate must be removed from liquid streams. The 10-micron rating targets fine sediment that can foul downstream equipment such as valves, pumps, and heat exchangers. The 30-inch length fits standard big-blue or equivalent jumbo filter housings designed for that cartridge size. The stainless steel core resists collapse under differential pressure conditions common in higher-flow installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement cartridge for standard 30-inch jumbo filter housings accepting 2.5-inch outside diameter string-wound cartridges.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified maintenance technician. Shut off the upstream supply valve and relieve system pressure before opening the filter housing. Follow the housing manufacturer's torque guidelines for the sump cap and inspect the O-ring seal before reassembly. Installations on potable water systems should conform to local plumbing codes and applicable IPC requirements.
