This fitting is suited for truck, trailer, and commercial vehicle air brake plumbing where a 45-degree directional change is needed between a tube run and a threaded port. Depressurize and drain the air brake system completely before removing or installing any fittings. This fitting is installed by qualified truck and fleet technicians familiar with D.O.T. air brake regulations and SAE J844 plumbing requirements. Thread the male NPT end into the port using an appropriate wrench and thread sealant compatible with air brake service; do not overtighten. Insert tubing straight into the push-to-connect end until it seats fully, and verify retention by pulling back lightly on the tube before returning the system to pressure.
