The PARKER 172PLP-4M-2G is a push-to-connect swivel male branch tee fitting designed for pneumatic and fluid tubing systems. It connects two tube runs to a male threaded port in a branch-tee configuration, allowing quick, tool-free tube insertion on the tube-side ports. The fitting is constructed from nickel-plated brass and is rated for a maximum working pressure of 300 psi across a temperature range of 0 degrees F to 200 degrees F. The release collar is color-coded silver with a yellow release button for easy push-to-connect tube removal. This fitting is installed by HVAC technicians, pneumatic system technicians, and plumbing professionals working with small-diameter instrumentation or control tubing.
The 172PLP-4M-2G is suited for residential and light commercial pneumatic control lines, instrumentation tubing, and compressed-air distribution applications where a branch connection to a male-threaded port is required. It accepts 4mm outside-diameter tubing on the push-to-connect ports and uses a BSPP thread type on the male port. The UL94 V-0 flame resistance rating and silicone-free grease make it compatible with environments sensitive to silicone contamination, such as paint spray booths or certain sensor installations.
Designed for use with 4mm outside-diameter push-to-connect tubing on tube-side ports and BSPP male-threaded connections on the branch port. Intended as an OEM-style fitting for pneumatic instrumentation and control tubing systems requiring a branch-tee configuration.
Installation is typically performed by licensed HVAC technicians or pneumatic system technicians. Depressurize and isolate the tubing circuit completely before disconnecting or installing any push-to-connect fitting. Ensure tube ends are cut cleanly and squarely with a tube cutter to achieve a proper seal at the collet; ragged or diagonal cuts will compromise the connection. Verify BSPP thread engagement on the male port and do not overtighten, as nickel-plated brass fittings are susceptible to thread damage from excessive torque.
