The PARKER 172PLP-12M-8G is a push-to-connect swivel male branch tee fitting designed for tube-to-tube-to-male pneumatic or fluid-line connections. Constructed from nickel-plated brass with a silicone-free grease lubricant, it meets the UL94 V-0 flame resistance standard. The fitting accepts 12mm outside diameter tubing on the push-to-connect ports and uses a BSPP male thread on the branch port. It is rated to 300 psi maximum working pressure and handles operating temperatures from 0 degrees F to 200 degrees F. The yellow release button allows for tool-free tube removal. This type of fitting is installed by HVAC technicians, pneumatic system specialists, and industrial plumbers working with metric tubing systems.
This fitting is suited for pneumatic control lines, instrumentation tubing, and compressed air distribution systems where a branch connection with a swivel male thread is required. The swivel feature allows the male thread port to be oriented without twisting the connected tubing, making it practical in tight installations. It is applicable in both light industrial and commercial HVAC control applications where 12mm OD metric tubing and BSPP threaded ports are the standard. The nickel-plated brass construction resists corrosion in moderate-duty service environments.
Designed for use with 12mm outside diameter push-to-connect tubing and BSPP male threaded ports in pneumatic and fluid control systems. Verify thread type and tubing OD before installation, as BSPP threads are not interchangeable with NPT or BSPT fittings.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with pneumatic or fluid line systems. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any fitting. Ensure tubing is cut squarely and deburred before inserting into the push-to-connect port to achieve a proper seal. Confirm BSPP thread engagement and do not over-torque the swivel port to avoid damage to the fitting body.
