The PARKER 172CA-4-4 is a brass compression tube male branch tee designed for use in fluid and pneumatic line assemblies where a reliable, pressure-rated branch connection is required. The fitting provides two compression end connections and one male NPTF threaded port, allowing a branch takeoff from a continuous tube run without cutting the main line. Rated to 1400 psi maximum working pressure and a temperature range of -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, this fitting is built for demanding service environments. It carries a 1/4-18 NPTF thread on the male port and is manufactured from brass for corrosion resistance in most fluid and gas applications.
This tee fitting is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and pneumatic control systems where a branch line must be teed off an existing compression tube run. It is commonly installed by HVAC technicians, plumbers, and industrial maintenance trades in instrument tubing, pilot line, and control system assemblies. The compression connections eliminate the need for solder or flare tools at the branch point, making it practical for field installations and retrofit work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit component for compression tube assemblies using 1/4-18 NPTF male branch tee fittings in HVAC, refrigeration, pneumatic, and fluid control applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician, plumber, or pipefitter familiar with compression fitting assembly. De-pressurize and isolate the system before disassembly or installation. Compression fittings require proper tube preparation including a clean, square cut and deburring to achieve a leak-free seal. Do not over-tighten the compression nut, as this can deform the ferrule and compromise the seal.
