The PARKER 172CA-3-2 is a brass compression tube male branch tee designed to create a branch connection in tubing runs while providing a male NPT threaded outlet. The fitting uses compression connections on two ports and a male NPTF threaded connection on the third, making it suitable for instrument, refrigeration, and fluid transfer lines where a secure, leak-resistant branch is needed. It carries a maximum working pressure of 1900 psi and handles temperatures from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pipefitters install this fitting in both new construction and service work.
This fitting is used in applications requiring a tee branch off an existing compression tubing run with a transition to a male NPT threaded port. Common install scenarios include instrument air lines, hydraulic control tubing, refrigerant sensing lines, and general fluid distribution systems in residential and light commercial mechanical rooms. The 1/8-27 NPTF thread size is a standard instrument and control-circuit thread found widely across HVAC, plumbing, and industrial fluid systems.
Designed as an OEM-style compression fitting for use in instrument tubing, HVAC control lines, and fluid distribution systems requiring a 1/8-27 NPTF male branch tee connection.
A licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter should install this fitting in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the system design requirements. Shut off and depressurize the line completely before disassembly or installation. Compression fittings require proper tube preparation including a clean, square cut and deburring before seating the ferrule. Do not overtighten compression nuts, as this can deform the ferrule and compromise the seal.
