The PARKER 171PTCNS-5/32-2 is a brass push-to-connect tube fitting with a tube-to-male NPT configuration, designed for use in compressed air and pneumatic plumbing systems. It accepts 5/32-inch outside diameter tubing on the tube ports and connects to a 1/8-inch male NPT threaded port. Rated to 250 psi maximum working pressure, this fitting is built to D.O.T. air brake standards, making it appropriate for mobile equipment and vehicle air brake circuits. A nitrile O-ring provides the internal seal at the push-to-connect interface. Licensed plumbers, fleet mechanics, and pneumatic system technicians are the primary installers.
This fitting is suited for residential and commercial pneumatic plumbing, compressed air distribution, and D.O.T.-rated air brake systems on trucks, trailers, and other commercial vehicles. The tube-to-male NPT configuration allows a direct transition from rigid or semi-rigid tubing into a threaded port on a valve, manifold, or bulkhead. Its brass construction holds up to the temperature range of -40 degrees F to 200 degrees F, covering a wide range of mobile and stationary air system environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for D.O.T. air brake systems and general pneumatic plumbing applications using 5/32-inch OD tubing and 1/8-inch NPT threaded ports.
This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers, pneumatic system technicians, or qualified fleet mechanics. Depressurize and lock out the air system completely before removing or installing any fitting in the line. Ensure the NPT threads are wrapped with thread sealant tape or compound rated for compressed air service before tightening. When inserting tubing into the push-to-connect port, cut the tube end cleanly and squarely and push fully until it seats; to release, depress the collet ring before pulling the tube free.
