The PARKER 171PLP-12M-8G is a push-to-connect swivel male run tee fitting designed for tube-to-tube-to-male inline connections in compressed air and fluid distribution systems. Constructed from nickel-plated brass, this fitting accepts 12mm outside diameter tubing on both run ports and terminates in a BSPP male swivel thread. It is rated for a maximum working pressure of 300 psi and operates reliably across a temperature range of 0 degrees F to 200 degrees F. The silver body and yellow release button are standard for the Parker push-to-connect series, providing quick identification and easy tube removal in the field. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and pneumatic system installers work with this fitting on control and instrument lines where a tee branch off a straight run is required.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial pneumatic, compressed air, and fluid control applications. The swivel male thread allows the fitting to be oriented after installation without rotating the connected tubing, which simplifies routing in tight panel or equipment enclosures. The UL94 V-0 flame resistance standard and silicone-free grease make it appropriate for environments where silicone contamination is a concern, such as painting booths, certain HVAC control circuits, and pneumatic actuator lines.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect replacement fitting for pneumatic and fluid control systems using 12mm OD tubing with BSPP male threaded ports.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician after depressurizing and locking out the system. Ensure tubing is cut cleanly and squarely with no burrs before insertion into the push-to-connect ports. The BSPP swivel thread should be sealed with an appropriate thread sealant compatible with the system fluid; verify sealant compatibility before use. Confirm the installed tube OD is 12mm, as mismatched tubing sizes will not seat or seal correctly and can result in system leaks under pressure.
