The PARKER 1717406 is a female pipe rigid fitting designed for hydraulic hose assemblies operating at up to 5,000 psi. Machined from steel with a straight body configuration, this fitting uses NPTF threaded connections to form a leak-resistant seal without additional sealant tape in most applications. The 1/4 inch hose end mates to standard 1/4 inch hydraulic hose, while the 1/8 inch NPTF thread connects to the port or component side. With a maximum flow rate of 3.00 GPM and an overall length of 1.41 inches, this fitting is sized for compact, high-pressure hydraulic circuits. It is installed by hydraulic system technicians and mobile equipment mechanics.
The 1717406 is rated for mobile hydraulic applications where reliable, rigid pipe-end connections are required. Typical use cases include snow plow hydraulic systems, truck and trailer hydraulic connections, and other mobile equipment circuits. The straight fitting geometry suits direct port-to-hose routing without angular offset. The steel construction handles the mechanical stress and pressure cycling common in vehicle-mounted and outdoor hydraulic systems. This fitting is sold individually and conforms to ISO 7241-1 Series A standards under Parker Series 6600.
Designed for use with mobile hydraulic applications including snow plows and truck and trailer hydraulic connections. Accepts 1/4 inch hydraulic hose on the hose end and 1/8 inch NPTF threaded ports on the component side.
Installation should be performed by a qualified hydraulic system technician. Depressurize and bleed the hydraulic system fully before disconnecting or installing any fittings. NPTF threads rely on thread-form interference for sealing; inspect threads for damage before installation and torque to the fitting manufacturer's recommended value using a calibrated torque wrench. Verify the system pressure rating does not exceed the 5,000 psi working pressure of this fitting after reassembly.
