The PARKER 17 is a female NPTF threaded pneumatic hose coupler built for compressed air systems in automotive and industrial service environments. It connects to the Tru-Flate Automotive interchange standard, making it compatible with the widely used Tru-Flate coupler format found in automotive shops and service bays. Constructed from steel with a zinc chromate finish, this coupler handles a maximum working pressure of 300 psi and operates across a temperature range of -40 to 250 degrees F. The 1/2 inch body diameter and 1/2-14 NPTF thread size are common in shop air systems. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and general mechanical contractors familiar with pneumatic tool lines will recognize this as a standard service-grade coupler.
This coupler is suited for use in automotive service shops, manufacturing facilities, and general mechanical workshops where Tru-Flate Automotive interchange-style connections are the established standard. The 1/2 inch coupler size supports airflow demands typical of impact wrenches, air ratchets, blow guns, and other shop air tools. It is a threaded connection type, installed directly onto air hose assemblies or tool manifolds with a 1/2-14 female NPTF thread. The Series 10 designation places it within a recognized Parker product line for pneumatic couplings.
Designed for use in pneumatic air systems using the Tru-Flate Automotive interchange coupler standard. Accepts 1/2-14 female NPTF threaded connections.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with compressed air systems. Depressurize the air line fully before removing or installing any coupling. Apply thread sealant appropriate for pneumatic service to the NPTF threads before tightening. Use a wrench on the 1.00 inch hex to achieve a proper mechanical connection without overtightening.
