The PARKER 169VL-6-2 is a brass compression tube male elbow fitting designed to connect compression tubing to a male NPT threaded port at a 90-degree angle. It uses Parker's Vibra-Lok compression style, which provides a secure, vibration-resistant seal without solder or flare preparation. The fitting is rated to 400 psi maximum working pressure and handles temperatures from -30 degrees F to 275 degrees F. Built from brass, it is well-suited for hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid system lines where a reliable directional connection between compression tubing and a male NPT port is required. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians install this type of fitting in both residential and light commercial applications.
This elbow fitting is used where a tubing run must change direction and transition to an NPT-threaded port or component body. The 1/8-27 thread size suits smaller-diameter line connections common in instrumentation, refrigeration sensing lines, fuel systems, and compressed air distribution. The Compression x MNPT configuration allows the tubing side to be secured via compression nut and ferrule while the male NPT end threads directly into a valve, manifold, or equipment port. The fitting meets ISO 6149 and SAE J1926 standards, making it appropriate for OEM equipment assembly and field service alike.
Designed as an OEM-style and field-replacement compression tube male elbow for systems using 1/8-27 NPT-threaded ports with compression tubing connections in hydraulic, pneumatic, refrigeration, and fluid distribution applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified HVAC technician. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any compression fitting. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the tubing, then snug with a wrench per standard compression fitting practice — do not overtighten, as brass fittings are susceptible to thread damage. Verify the tubing end is cleanly cut and fully seated before applying final torque to ensure a leak-free Vibra-Lok ferrule engagement.
