The PARKER 169PTCNSBH-8-8 is a push-to-connect male bulkhead elbow fitting designed for pneumatic tube routing through panels, bulkheads, and enclosures. Constructed from brass with a nitrile O-ring, this fitting accepts 1/2 inch OD tubing on both tube ports and connects to a 1/2 inch NPTF male thread. It is rated for a maximum working pressure of 250 psi and handles temperatures from -40 degrees F to 200 degrees F. Designated as a D.O.T. Air Brake Fitting, it meets Department of Transportation requirements for air brake system plumbing on commercial vehicles and heavy equipment. Installation requires no tools on the tube side — tubing seats with a single push and locks in place.
This fitting is suited for air brake systems, compressed air lines, and pneumatic control circuits where a tube line must pass through a panel or bulkhead and make a 90-degree directional change. The D.O.T. rating makes it appropriate for on-highway and off-highway vehicle air brake plumbing. Licensed technicians servicing commercial truck, trailer, and heavy equipment air systems will find this fitting useful for routing 1/2 inch OD air lines through chassis panels, firewalls, or equipment enclosures. It is also applicable in industrial pneumatic applications operating within the rated pressure and temperature range.
Designed for use with 1/2 inch OD tubing and 1/2 inch NPTF male threaded ports in D.O.T.-compliant air brake systems and industrial pneumatic applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with D.O.T. air brake regulations and pneumatic system service procedures. Depressurize and isolate the air system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Ensure the NPTF threads are clean and properly engaged before pressurizing. Verify tube cut ends are clean, square, and free of burrs before inserting into the push-to-connect ports to ensure a proper seal.
