The PARKER 169PTCNS-6-8 is a brass push-to-connect tube fitting configured as a tube-to-male-NPTF-to-tube connector, designed for pneumatic and fluid-line applications in commercial truck, trailer, and fleet service work. It accepts 3/8-inch OD tubing on both ends and threads into a 1/2-inch NPTF port. Rated to 250 psi maximum working pressure, the fitting handles operating temperatures from -40 degrees F to 200 degrees F. The nitrile O-ring provides a reliable seal across the full service temperature range. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and fleet technicians working on air brake and fluid transfer lines will find this a direct-install component.
This fitting is suited for DOT-regulated truck and trailer brake and fluid line systems. It is compatible with SAE J844 Type A and Type B nylon and polyethylene tubing. The push-to-connect design allows fast, tool-free tube insertion while meeting DOT FMVSS 571.106, SAE J2494, and SAE J2494-3 specifications. Typical applications include air brake supply lines, trailer glad-hand connections, and similar compressed-air plumbing on Class 6-8 commercial vehicles.
Designed for use with SAE J844 Type A and Type B tubing in DOT truck and trailer air brake and fluid transfer applications. Meets DOT FMVSS 571.106, SAE J2494, and SAE J2494-3 specifications.
Installation is performed by fleet technicians and plumbers working on commercial vehicle air systems. Before servicing, fully depressurize the air system and verify system pressure reads zero at all gauges. Cut tubing square and deburr the end before inserting into the push-to-connect fitting to ensure a proper O-ring seal. NPTF threads are dryseal by design; do not overtighten, as thread damage will compromise the seal.
