The PARKER 169PTC-6-8 is a brass push-to-connect tube fitting configured as tube-to-male-to-tube with a male NPTF thread end. It accepts 3/8 inch OD tubing on both push-to-connect ends and threads into a 1/2 inch NPTF female port. Rated to 250 psi working pressure, this fitting is suited for general-purpose pneumatic and fluid line connections. The brass body and nitrile O-ring construction provide reliable sealing across a wide service temperature range. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid-systems technicians typically install this type of fitting in compressed air, water, and low-pressure hydraulic lines.
This fitting is intended for general-purpose tube routing applications in residential, commercial, and light industrial environments. Its push-to-connect design speeds up field assembly by eliminating the need for ferrule compression tooling on the tubing ends while the NPTF male thread provides a dry-seal mechanical connection at the port side. It is suited for use with compatible rigid or semi-rigid tubing in pneumatic, brake, and general fluid-handling circuits where D.O.T. and SAE compliance is required.
Designed for general-purpose use with 3/8 inch OD tubing in pneumatic, brake, and fluid-handling systems requiring D.O.T. FMVSS571.106, SAE J2494, and SAE J2494-3 compliant fittings.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or qualified fluid-systems technicians. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before disconnecting or installing any push-to-connect fitting. Verify tubing OD is within tolerance and that the cut end is clean and square before insertion to ensure proper O-ring seating. Thread engagement should follow standard NPTF hand-tight-plus-turns practice per IPC or applicable code; do not overtighten the male NPTF thread into cast or soft-metal ports.
