The PARKER 169PTC-4-2 is a push-to-connect 90-degree male elbow tube fitting designed for use in compressed air and pneumatic plumbing systems. It accepts 1/4-inch OD tubing on both push-to-connect ends and connects to a 1/8-inch NPTF male thread, allowing a quick 90-degree direction change without tools on the tube side. Rated to 250 psi, the fitting is constructed from brass with a nitrile O-ring seal, making it well suited for general-purpose air brake and pneumatic control lines. Licensed HVAC technicians, fleet mechanics, and plumbers install this type of fitting where a compact, reliable 90-degree transition is needed in tight spaces.
This fitting is classified as a D.O.T. air brake fitting, meeting D.O.T. FMVSS571.106, SAE J2494, SAE J2494-3, and SAE J844 standards. It is intended for general-purpose pneumatic and air brake applications in both mobile and stationary systems. The operating temperature range of -40 degrees F to 200 degrees F makes it appropriate for under-hood and outdoor installations where thermal cycling is a concern. The push-to-connect tube entry allows fast field assembly without ferrules or compression sleeves.
Designed for general-purpose pneumatic and D.O.T. air brake plumbing using 1/4-inch OD tubing and 1/8-inch NPTF male threaded ports. Suitable for use with common nylon and polyurethane air brake tubing as described by SAE J844.
Depressurize and lock out the air system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Ensure the NPTF male thread is clean and apply thread sealant appropriate for pneumatic service per applicable standards before threading into the port. Push tubing firmly into the fitting until it bottoms out to fully engage the collet and O-ring seal. Inspect for leaks at full system pressure before returning the system to service.
