The PARKER 169PLP-4-2 is a push-to-connect 90-degree swivel male elbow fitting designed for tube-to-male threaded connections in pneumatic and fluid control systems. Constructed from nickel-plated brass, it accepts 1/4 inch OD tubing and threads into a 1/8 inch NPTF port. The fitting is rated to 300 psi maximum working pressure and handles temperatures from 0 degrees F to 200 degrees F. The push-to-connect mechanism allows fast, tool-free tube insertion while the swivel design permits in-place rotation for easier routing. Licensed HVAC techs, plumbers, and pneumatic systems technicians install this fitting in tight or angled plumbing runs where rigid fittings are impractical.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial applications involving compressed air lines, pneumatic controls, refrigeration ancillary circuits, and fluid transfer tubing. The swivel male end allows the installer to thread the fitting into a fixed port first and then rotate the elbow body to align with the tubing run before final lock-in. The release button is made from black, flame-resistant material rated to UL94 V-0, making it appropriate for installations near ignition sources or in enclosures requiring flame-resistance compliance.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect elbow for systems using 1/4 inch OD tubing and 1/8 inch NPTF male ports, typical of pneumatic control panels, compressed air distribution, and inline fluid circuits.
Power down or depressurize the system fully before removing or installing any push-to-connect fitting. Thread the 1/8 inch NPTF male end into the receiving port using an appropriately sized wrench on the hex flats — do not grip the swivel body. Insert 1/4 inch OD tubing straight into the collet until it seats; to release, press the green collar inward while pulling the tube. Follow all applicable pneumatic and plumbing codes for the jurisdiction, including pressure testing after installation.
