The PARKER 169P-6-2 is a brass compression tube male elbow fitting designed to connect a 3/8-inch outside diameter tube to a 1/8-27 NPTF male pipe thread. The 90-degree elbow configuration allows a direction change from tubing to threaded pipe in a single fitting, eliminating the need for additional adapters. Constructed from brass, it is rated for a maximum working pressure of 150 psi and a temperature range of 0 to 150 degrees F. This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and refrigeration mechanics in applications requiring a reliable tube-to-pipe transition.
This fitting is suited for use in residential and light commercial plumbing, instrumentation, pneumatic, and fluid distribution systems where a compression tube must terminate at a male NPT threaded port. The compression end accepts 3/8-inch OD tubing without soldering or flaring, making it appropriate for copper, aluminum, and compatible plastic tubing. The NPTF thread standard ensures a pressure-tight seal at the male pipe end when assembled to a female NPT port.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for compression tube-to-male NPT connections using 3/8-inch OD tubing and 1/8-27 NPTF female-ported components.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC or refrigeration technician in accordance with applicable IPC or system-specific codes. Shut off and depressurize the line before disassembly or installation. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the tubing, then wrench-tighten as appropriate for the tubing material — do not overtighten, as brass compression fittings can crack the ferrule or distort the seat. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPTF male threads before engaging the female port to ensure a leak-free seal.
