The PARKER 169HD-10-8 is a brass compression tube male elbow fitting designed for use in fluid and gas distribution systems where a 90-degree directional change is needed between a compression tube connection and a male NPT threaded port. Built from solid brass, it handles up to 1000 psi working pressure, making it suitable for demanding hydraulic, pneumatic, and process piping applications. The compression end grips the tube mechanically for a secure, leak-resistant seal without soldering or flaring. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial pipefitters are the typical installers of this type of fitting.
This fitting is suited for residential and commercial plumbing, refrigeration tubing runs, compressed air lines, and general-purpose fluid transfer installations. The 1/2 inch thread size and compression-to-MNPT configuration make it a practical solution when transitioning from tubing to a threaded male port on valves, manifolds, regulators, or equipment inlets. It is sold individually and is appropriate wherever a reliable right-angle tube-to-pipe connection is required.
Designed as an OEM-style compression fitting for use in plumbing, HVAC, and fluid process systems requiring a compression tube to male NPT transition at a 90-degree angle.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified technician in accordance with applicable IPC or IFGC codes. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing any compression fitting. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the tube, then apply an additional fraction of a turn with a wrench — do not overtighten, as excess force can deform the ferrule and compromise the seal. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the MNPT threads before engagement, and verify for leaks under system pressure before returning to service.
