The PARKER 169CA-3-2 is a brass compression tube male elbow fitting designed to connect 3/16-inch OD tubing to a male NPTF threaded port at a 90-degree angle. It transitions between a compression-style tube connection and a 1/8-27 male National Pipe Taper Fuel thread, making it suitable for plumbing, HVAC, and instrumentation applications where a leak-tight directional change is needed. Rated to 1900 psi maximum working pressure, this fitting handles operating temperatures from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and instrumentation mechanics install this type of fitting in copper or compatible soft-metal tubing systems.
This elbow fitting is used in residential and light commercial systems where tubing must change direction at a threaded port. Typical applications include refrigeration lines, pneumatic control circuits, fuel delivery systems, and instrument sensing lines. The compression-by-MNPT configuration allows the fitting to thread directly into a tapped port or valve body while securing the tube on the compression side without soldering or flaring. It is sold and packaged as a single unit.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting compatible with 3/16-inch OD compression tubing systems using 1/8-27 NPTF male threaded ports in plumbing, HVAC, and instrumentation applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified instrumentation mechanic. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any compression fitting. Ensure the tube end is cut square, deburred, and fully seated before tightening the compression nut. Follow applicable codes such as the IPC or IFGC when integrating into fuel or fluid piping systems.
