The PARKER 169C-6-4 is a brass compression tube male elbow fitting designed to connect 3/8-inch OD tubing to a 1/4-18 NPTF male thread. The compression end grips the tube mechanically for a leak-resistant seal without soldering or flaring. The male NPT end threads directly into a female port on a valve, manifold, or equipment housing. Rated to 200 psi maximum working pressure, it handles temperatures from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and refrigeration mechanics install this fitting in instrument, hydraulic, and fluid-handling lines where a direction change from tube to pipe thread is required.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial applications involving copper, aluminum, or compatible plastic tubing. Typical installations include refrigeration lines, pneumatic controls, fuel systems, and hydraulic circuits where a 90-degree change of direction is needed between a compression tube run and a threaded component port. The NPTF thread standard provides a pressure-tight mechanical seal at the threaded connection.
Designed for use with 3/8-inch OD tubing and 1/4-18 NPTF female-threaded ports in fluid, pneumatic, and refrigeration system applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified mechanic. Shut off system pressure and bleed any residual fluid or gas before disconnecting or installing fittings. Ensure the tubing end is cut square, deburred, and clean before seating it into the compression end. Apply an appropriate thread sealant to the NPTF male threads per the system fluid compatibility requirements and applicable plumbing or mechanical codes.
