The PARKER 169C-6-2 is a brass compression tube male elbow designed to connect 3/8-inch OD tubing to a male NPT port in a 90-degree configuration. It combines a compression-style tube end with a 1/8-27 NPTF male threaded end, creating a reliable, leak-resistant transition between tube and pipe thread. Rated to 200 psi maximum working pressure and suitable for service from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, this fitting handles a wide range of fluid and gas line applications. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and refrigeration service professionals install this type of fitting on instrumentation lines, control tubing, and small-bore process piping.
This elbow is suited for residential and light commercial applications where tubing must change direction and transition to a threaded port. Common install scenarios include connecting small-bore copper or nylon tubing to NPT-tapped valve bodies, manifolds, or instrument ports. The compression end accepts 3/8-inch OD tube without soldering or flaring, making it well-suited for retrofit and service work in tight spaces where torch work is impractical.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems using 3/8-inch OD tubing terminated at a 1/8-27 NPTF male threaded port.
A licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician should install compression fittings in pressure-bearing systems. Shut off and depressurize the line before removing or installing any fitting. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the tube, then advance with a wrench per standard compression fitting practice — do not overtighten, as brass compression fittings are designed to seal at moderate torque. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPTF male threads in accordance with local plumbing codes and the fitting manufacturer's guidance.
