The PARKER 169C-4-2 is a brass compression tube male elbow fitting designed to connect 1/4-inch outside diameter tubing to a 1/8-27 NPTF male threaded port at a 90-degree angle. It transitions between a compression-style tube connection and a male NPT threaded fitting in a single compact body. Rated to 300 psi maximum working pressure and suitable for service from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, this fitting handles a broad range of fluid and gas line applications. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and instrumentation installers use this type of fitting in both residential and light commercial systems where a reliable, leak-resistant tube-to-pipe transition is required.
This fitting is suited for use in pneumatic control lines, refrigeration sensing lines, instrument tubing runs, and hydraulic pilot circuits where 1/4-inch OD tubing must terminate at a 1/8-27 NPT threaded port. The 90-degree elbow geometry is useful in tight installations where a straight fitting would create excess tubing bend radius or interfere with adjacent components. Brass construction makes it compatible with air, water, oil, and many non-corrosive fluid media commonly encountered in HVAC, plumbing, and light industrial applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems using 1/4-inch OD tubing and 1/8-27 male NPT threaded port connections in pneumatic, HVAC, plumbing, and light industrial fluid handling assemblies.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified instrumentation mechanic. Shut off and depressurize the line before disassembly or installation. The compression end requires a properly cut and deburred tube end seated fully into the fitting body before tightening the compression nut. Do not overtighten the compression nut; follow the fitting manufacturer's standard turn-past-finger-tight procedure. Thread the MNPT end into the receiving female port using appropriate thread sealant compatible with the media being conveyed.
