The PARKER 165PTC-4 is a push-to-connect union elbow tube fitting designed for tube-to-tube connections in compressed air and pneumatic brake line systems. Constructed from brass with a nitrile O-ring, it provides a secure, leak-resistant 90-degree turn without the need for ferrules, threaded fittings, or special tooling. The fitting is rated to 250 psi maximum working pressure and handles temperatures from -40 degrees F to 200 degrees F. DOT compliance makes it suitable for regulated air brake installations. HVAC, refrigeration, and fluid system technicians also use this fitting type in low-pressure pneumatic and instrument air applications.
The 165PTC-4 is suited for 1/4 inch OD tubing in air brake, pneumatic control, and instrument air lines. Its union elbow configuration allows two tube ends to meet at a 90-degree angle in tight routing situations. The push-to-connect design speeds up assembly in production and field repair environments. It meets D.O.T. FMVSS 571.106, SAE J2494, SAE J2494-3, and SAE J844 standards, making it appropriate for regulated commercial vehicle air brake circuits as well as general-purpose pneumatic installations.
Designed for use with 1/4 inch OD tubing in DOT-compliant air brake systems and general-purpose pneumatic circuits meeting SAE J844 and SAE J2494 specifications.
Installation is performed by technicians qualified to work on pneumatic brake or fluid power systems. Depressurize and bleed the air system fully before removing or installing any fitting. Ensure tubing is cut square and deburred before inserting into the push-to-connect port to achieve a proper seal. Follow applicable DOT, SAE, and site-specific codes when servicing air brake circuits on commercial vehicles.
