The PARKER 165CA-6 is a brass compression tube union designed to join two compression-end tubing runs in a single inline fitting. It provides a leak-resistant mechanical connection without soldering or threading the tubing itself. Rated to 1000 psi maximum working pressure and suitable for service from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, this union is well-suited for refrigeration lines, pneumatic supply runs, instrumentation tubing, and hydraulic control circuits. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and instrumentation technicians are the typical installers. The all-brass construction resists corrosion in both wet and dry service environments.
This compression union is used in residential and light commercial applications where a removable, reusable tube connection is required. Typical scenarios include instrument air lines, refrigeration pilot lines, oil supply tubing, and small-bore hydraulic or pneumatic distribution. The compression-by-compression end configuration allows the fitting to union two tube ends of matching size inline without special tooling beyond a tubing cutter and two wrenches.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for compression tube assemblies in HVAC, refrigeration, pneumatic, and instrumentation systems requiring a brass union at matching tube sizes.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or instrumentation technician. De-pressurize and isolate the tubing circuit completely before disassembly or fitting installation. Use a tubing cutter to ensure a clean, square tube end, and verify the ferrule seats properly before tightening the compression nut. Do not over-torque the compression nuts; snug plus a controlled fraction of a turn per the fitting manufacturer's guidance is standard practice.
