The PARKER 165C-7 is a brass compression tube union designed to join two compression-end fluid lines in a single, straight-through connection. It carries a maximum working pressure rating of 200 psi and handles temperatures from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, making it suitable for a wide range of hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid-transfer applications. The fitting is manufactured from brass and conforms to SAE J-512, the standard governing automotive-style compression fittings. Installation is performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid-system mechanics during both new construction and maintenance work.
This union is used wherever two compression tubing runs must be joined inline without flaring or soldering. Typical applications include refrigeration line sets, hydraulic control circuits, fuel lines, and general-purpose tubing assemblies in residential and light commercial systems. The compression-by-compression end configuration allows the technician to connect two tube ends using standard ferrule-and-nut compression fittings on both sides. It is suited for both new installations and field repairs where a union is needed to restore line continuity.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit union for compression tubing systems conforming to SAE J-512 dimensional standards.
Shut off system pressure and bleed the line before removing or installing any compression fitting. Hand-tighten the compression nuts to seat the ferrules, then use a wrench for final tightening — avoid overtightening, which can deform brass ferrules and cause leaks. Work should be performed by a licensed tradesperson in accordance with applicable mechanical or plumbing codes. Inspect both tube ends for squareness and deburr as needed before assembly.
