The PARKER 164PTC-5/32 is a push-to-connect union tee tube fitting designed for tube-to-tube connections in pneumatic and air brake systems. Machined from brass, it accepts 5/32 inch OD tubing on all three ports and holds a maximum working pressure of 250 psi. The push-to-connect design allows fast, tool-free tube insertion without compression sleeves or ferrules. This fitting meets DOT FMVSS571.106, SAE J2494, SAE J2494-3, and SAE J844 standards, making it a compliant choice for DOT air brake line work. Nitrile O-rings provide a reliable seal across a wide service temperature range.
This fitting is used in light and heavy-duty vehicle air brake systems, pneumatic control lines, and other compressed-air plumbing where a three-way branch connection is required. The union tee configuration allows an inline branch without any single tube being a dead end, supporting continuous run-and-branch routing. It is typically installed by fleet maintenance technicians, commercial vehicle service shops, and pneumatic systems specialists working on DOT-regulated brake circuits or general air lines.
Designed for use with 5/32 inch OD tubing in DOT air brake and pneumatic control line applications. Complies with DOT and SAE standards for air brake tubing fittings.
Depressurize and bleed the air brake or pneumatic system completely before disconnecting or installing any fittings. Ensure tubing is cut cleanly and squarely, and that the tube OD is free of burrs, debris, and scoring before insertion. Push tubing firmly into the fitting until it seats fully to engage the internal collet and O-ring seal. Post-installation, pressurize the system and inspect all connections for leaks before returning the vehicle or equipment to service.
