The PARKER 155F-6 is a brass flared tube union designed to connect two flared tube ends in a single inline fitting. It accepts 3/8 inch tube OD with a 5/8-18 UNF thread on each end and seats at a 45-degree flare angle per SAE J512 and SAE J513 standards. The fitting is rated to 1000 psi maximum working pressure and handles temperatures up to 250 degrees F, making it suitable for refrigeration lines, fuel systems, and hydraulic tubing runs. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and hydraulic system installers use this union where two flared tube sections must be joined without a bulkhead or block fitting.
This union fits residential and light commercial applications wherever 3/8 inch OD soft copper or aluminum tubing is flared and joined inline. Common install scenarios include refrigerant suction and liquid line repairs, fuel line splices, and hydraulic circuit extensions. Its all-brass construction resists corrosion in wet or chemically active environments. The UL-listed rating supports use in systems where listed components are required by local mechanical codes.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install union for 3/8 inch OD flared tubing systems using 45-degree SAE flare connections per SAE J512 and SAE J513.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician, plumber, or qualified mechanic familiar with flared tube fittings. De-pressurize and purge the system before disassembly, and isolate any refrigerant charge per EPA Section 608 requirements where applicable. Use a calibrated flaring tool to produce a clean, uniform 45-degree flare before threading the fitting — do not over-torque, as brass flare seats can deform and leak. Verify the final assembly against the applicable system pressure rating before returning the system to service.
