The PARKER 155F-2 is a brass flared tube union designed to join two flared tube ends in a single inline connection. It accepts 1/8-inch tube OD on both ends with a 45-degree flare angle and a 5/16-24 UNF thread, producing a leak-resistant mechanical seal without solder or adhesive. This fitting is used in low-pressure fluid and gas lines where a removable, reusable connection is required. HVAC technicians, refrigeration mechanics, and plumbers install this type of union when servicing or assembling copper tubing runs that require periodic disconnection.
The 155F-2 is suited for residential and light commercial applications involving small-diameter copper tubing. Typical use cases include instrument lines, pilot gas lines, and refrigerant or oil line assemblies where 1/8-inch OD tubing is routed and a union connection is needed to allow future serviceability. The flare-by-flare end configuration makes it appropriate anywhere two flared tube ends must be coupled inline.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for systems using 1/8-inch OD copper tubing with standard 45-degree SAE flare connections.
Installation is performed by HVAC technicians, refrigeration mechanics, or licensed plumbers familiar with flare fitting assembly. Shut off and depressurize the line before disassembly or connection. Flare the tube ends to the correct 45-degree angle using a proper flaring tool before assembly — do not over-tighten, as brass flare seats can be damaged by excessive torque. Verify no leaks with an approved leak-detection method after restoring pressure.
