The PARKER 150F-8-8 is a brass 45-degree flared tube female elbow fitting designed for use in fluid and gas line assemblies requiring a directional change with a secure, leak-resistant connection. The fitting uses a flare-to-female-pipe connection style, with a 1/2 inch tube OD flare end on one side and a 1/2-14 NPTF female thread on the other. Rated to 750 psi maximum working pressure and a maximum working temperature of 250 degrees F, this elbow is built for demanding service conditions. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and refrigeration mechanics commonly install this type of fitting in copper tube systems.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial applications where a 45-degree angle change is needed in a flared copper tube run connected to an NPTF-threaded port. Typical install scenarios include refrigerant line sets, fuel gas systems, and hydraulic or compressed air lines where SAE J512 and SAE J513 flare standards apply. The NPTF thread provides a pressure-tight mechanical seal without requiring additional sealant in many applications. It is sold individually and is appropriate for new construction and field repair work alike.
Designed for use with 1/2 inch OD flared tubing and 1/2-14 NPTF-threaded ports in systems built to SAE J512 and SAE J513 flare fitting standards.
Installation should be performed by a qualified tradesperson familiar with flare fitting assembly and applicable codes such as the IFGC or relevant refrigeration standards. Before installation, shut off and depressurize the system completely. Flare the tube end with a calibrated flaring tool to ensure a proper seat against the fitting cone, and avoid over-tightening, which can crack the flare or distort the fitting seat. Inspect the flare surface for burrs or deformation before assembly.
