The PARKER 14FSX-6 is a forged brass short nut designed for 45-degree flare tube connections in fluid and refrigerant line assemblies. It accepts a 3/8-inch tube OD and threads onto a 5/8-18 UNF male fitting to create a leak-resistant mechanical joint at the flare seat. Rated to 1000 psi working pressure and 250 degrees F maximum working temperature, this fitting is built for demanding service in HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing applications. The forged brass construction provides superior strength and corrosion resistance compared to cast alternatives. Licensed HVAC technicians, refrigeration mechanics, and plumbers routinely use this style of nut when assembling or servicing copper tubing systems.
This short nut is used in residential and light commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems wherever 45-degree SAE flare connections are required. It is well suited for connecting copper refrigerant lines, fuel oil lines, and hydraulic tubing.
