The PARKER 149F-4-2 is a brass 45-degree male elbow fitting designed for flared tube connections in refrigeration, HVAC, and fluid-transfer systems. It transitions from a 1/4-inch OD flared tube on one end to a 1/8-27 MNPTF threaded port on the other, allowing a direction change where a straight fitting will not fit. Rated to 1400 psi maximum working pressure and 250 degrees F, this fitting is built to handle demanding service conditions. The brass construction resists corrosion and provides reliable sealing at the flared interface. HVAC technicians, refrigeration mechanics, and plumbers use this type of fitting when routing copper or aluminum tubing through tight equipment cabinets or manifolds.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, and pneumatic or hydraulic lines where a 1/4-inch OD flared tube meets an NPTF-threaded port at a 45-degree angle. Typical applications include refrigerant line connections, fuel gas lines, and compressed-air circuits that require a compact directional change. It is sold individually and is a direct off-the-shelf component for service and repair work.
Designed for use with 1/4-inch OD flared tubing and 1/8-27 NPTF-threaded ports in HVAC, refrigeration, and fluid-transfer applications where a 45-degree flare-to-male-pipe transition is required.
Installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician, refrigeration mechanic, or licensed plumber familiar with flared fittings and NPTF thread engagement. De-pressurize and isolate the system before removing or installing any fittings. Ensure the tube end is properly flared to the correct 45-degree angle using a calibrated flaring tool before seating the connection. Do not over-torque; follow applicable SAE and system manufacturer guidelines for flare fitting assembly.
